What A Great Day

Sonny gave me this wonderful card to start the day. He was proud of all of the stickers he used, especially the "flying fish," which I'm pretty sure are actually upside down birds :)
YUM. Chef Hubby made pancakes with cinnamon/sugar coated peaches.
The Son.
The Hubs.
After breakfast, Ramin and Isaiah took me to McGuckins' to get pots and some veggies. We planted cherry tomatoes, yellow and green peppers, basil, oregano and cilantro. I'm really excited! We'll see if I can keep them alive.
And then of course there was a bike ride.
I love how this helmet smooshes his cheeks. Makes me want to kiss his face off. He may be a big boy with a full face helmet, but when I see those cheeks, I know he's still my baby (at least for a little bit longer).
I'm very thankful for what was truly a beautiful Mother's Day.

I Had To Post This

And this is what happens at 12:00 pm to little boys who get up at 5:59 two days in a row to ride their bike...
shoes still fully intact
cashed.

We've Got Him Covered

This crazy piece of biking gear has caused quite a stir in the Razavi household. One thing it's stirring is Isaiah's consciousness at about 5:59 am. Lovely. He woke up this morning saying, "put my clothes on. i don't want breakfast. i want to ride with my 'full face'"(helmet). And this is day number two of the helmet excitement. Yesterday, Ramin took him out and this morning it was my turn. As many of you know, I don't really wake up until about an hour after I get out of bed, so Isaiah rode and I kind of walked/slept standing up. Besides Isaiah's consciousness, it's also stirring a sense of relief for Ramin and I (the reason for the purchase) as we watch our Sonny do his "moves" and crashes with full cranium protection. The boy is happy and the nugget is safe.

Dandelions Need Love, Too

The other day on a bike ride Isaiah decided that the dandelions needed kisses to help them grow. The Little Bub's got a lot of love to give :)
Going in for the smooch!
Satisfied with his good deed (do you see the pollen on his lips?).

This Is What We Do...

My Sonny is convinced that when he puts on his helmet, "glubs," and sunglasses and hops onto his green strider bike, he becomes Darren Berrecloth (professional free ride and slope style rider). This Spring, he's been especially fond of the game you just watched where I commentate as he rides in the 2010 Slope Style X Games. After about 25 runs, I began wondering if I'd missed my true calling as an extreme mountain biking commentator. Who knows? Maybe I'll get something out of my Mass Communication degree after all.

it's valentine's day...

...and my heart is full.
because of this one...
and undoubtedly due to this one...
