Throwing Rocks

This is some video from our Left Hand Canyon day. Just a little footage of Isaiah in action.

Left Hand Canyon Adventure

It still amazes me after 4 years that 5 minutes from our house we can be in beauty like this. On Friday morning Ramin, Isaiah and I went on a family adventure into Left Hand Canyon. The day was beautiful and the sound of the rushing river was totally invigorating. So invigorating, in fact that Isaiah ran us up and down the trail next to the river for at least a mile and a half. Maybe he'll follow in his Daddy's footsteps :) When he wasn't running he was having a great time looking for his new obsession...pill bugs or "pillies" and he likes to call them (and himself). It was a great morning enjoying the absolute beauty of God's creation in the outdoors and in each other.

And the running begins...
Picking out the best rocks for throwing
The wind up...
And he throws!

Isaiah and Spiderman go to the Zoo

This past week we went to the Denver Zoo with Meggan and John. The boys had a blast rolling through the zoo in their cool safari jeep and I'll have to say that Meg and I enjoyed not having to chase them around. We kept looking at each other in surprise and saying, "this is actually relaxing!" They had a lot of fun saying hello to all of the animals and as it turns out we ended up being a main attraction that day as literally everyone we passed said, "Spiderman!" "Spiderman is at the zoo!" Hilarious. The fact that the Kid with the Bionic Blonde Fro was riding with Spiderman definitely didn't help with the attention factor either :) It was a great day with 2 really incredible boys.

The boys started their safari jeep adventure with some lollipops.

Isaiah James on the train (he was in heaven because he got to give the "conductor" a token and take his seat-he pretends to do that all the time at home).

Fun in the Snow

Isaiah and I kissed Ramin goodbye this morning (he's off to California today to visit Kamran and run a half marathon) and headed out to play in the snow. We had a great time bounding around, being goofy (I love opportunities to regress). Here are some fun pictures of our adventure...

We're bundled and ready to go!

A friendly passer by took this picture of Isaiah and I. I wanted a picture that showed how deep the snow is.

Blizzards in March are FUN!!

Snow LOVES the month of March in Colorado! We've lived here for 4 years now and each year we've been pummeled by a huge snow fall. For the last week we've gotten lots of false predictions from our meteorologists (which cultivates a certain sarcasm), but they certainly weren't wrong this time. We have about 14 inches now (3:00pm) and it's still snowing! While all of you are enjoying your entrance in to Spring, think of the Razavi's who will be building snowmen and treading through 2 feet of snow.

Strolling with Mama

The weather this week has been nothing short of amazing with 60 degree weather everyday, so we've been walking a lot. It's been so nice to get fresh air at the start of the day.
It was still a little chilly when we started but by the end the blanket and the coats were off.

A Few More Winter Pics...

Okay, so there has been a little bit of snow here, and when it comes we have a great time playing outside. Here is Isaiah licking his snowman (he's way more interested in eating the snow than he is playing with it).

Here is a proud Daddy with the train table he put together for Isaiah for Christmas. Needless to say, playing trains has gotten a lot more fun since we've had the table and track set up.
Here is another fun cardboard box invention; a surf board (this one was actually Mommy inspired). He loves the movie "Surfs Up" and wanted to be just like Cody Maverick, so we cut into a Costco box and...voila!
Running to catch a wave.
